Just some advice from one admin to another, I'd recommend you protect the main page of the wiki to prevent vandalism. I reverted some vandalism that was already done to it but the best way to stop it is to protect the page. - Doomlurker 19:33, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

Why didn't you ban that vandal-jerk (I hate vandals) that vandalized the main page? THAT deserves a ban. A ban that lasts forever. Curious... do you now how to ban? Not an insult. Video on the mainpage Edit

Hi MakeShift! I noticed you had plans to spruce up the main page a bit, and I'd love to make a start with that by adding the most recent Theatrical Trailer for Amazing Spider-Man to the mainpage. That way people will not only know that we have more than just plain text encyclopedic information, but also that we have interactive videos and galleries that people can use. Pages DeletedEdit

Hey MakeShift, I was just wondering why you deleted the three pages I created, 'Stan the Librarian', 'Donald Glover Easter Egg' and 'Easter Eggs'. All true information were on those pages, there was nothing false. I just don't see why you had to delete them.

Also, why do you keep removing my edits on The Amazing Spider-Man? I was just making the page better, adding captions to the pictures and whatnot. I just want a good reason. Otherwise, I'll continue to edit what I think should be edited. D3T&FS 01:20, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

The above pages, "Stan the Librarian" was, as I mentioned in the deletion summary, a small cameo. He may be a significant person, but the role's fairly insignificant. As for the other pages, I can't really see any reason as to why they're needed. Even if we were to have "Easter eggs", the Donald Glover-related one is unneeded. As for the edits, you were adding in only tiny useless details, like "Many of the characters' actors admitted they had either never even heard of Spider-Man or knew little of him before Sam Raimi's movies, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3.", as well as small roles that needn't be included in the cast list. Also, more recently, I've removed bits of information from the posters, as no information is needed but "X poster". About the stills, links to pages are irrelevant. Yeah, thanks. But even if my edits were useless, they weren't unnecessary. Adding small information like that is what the 'Trivia' section is supposed to be for. What if fans want to know about the actors' knowledge on Spider-Man fiction? It's not hurting anything. So, would it be better if, instead of creating a whole page surrounding it, I just add a bit of info on the Don Glover easter egg under the 'Trivia' section on the main movie page?

This wiki isn't going to be like any other Marvel film wikis. It's going to be unique. The Lizard and Spider-Man pages will have the in-film histories of those respective alter-egos, whereas Curt Connors and Peter Parker will have their respective in-film histories. —MakeShift (does whatever a spider can) 01:59, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

Game PageEdit

My name is Jorge and I a member of Wikia's Community Development team. With the upcoming release of both the movie and the game, we are eager to draw more attention to your very thorough The Amazing Spider-Man (video game) page. I'd love to fill out even more information that I can find, but before I do, I am curious to know what your plan is for covering that page. Would you prefer all game information remain on that one page alone, or perhaps include game character information, for example, on their character page. Alternatively, I could even make a video game character page for each. I would also like to draw some attention to the game on the main page. If you would like to give some guidance, I would love to hear your input and suggestions.

Scorpion/Scorpia?Edit

Hey, I just wanted to avoid any confusion. At first, I thought the villain (Scorpia or Scorpion) was truly Scorpia. I mean, that's what everyone was saying and the villain looked pretty girlish. However, I looked into it, and couldn't find any sources confirming that the villain was really Scorpia. All the websites and everything I checked out said Scorpion, the male version.

So, I was just wondering, who is it? Scorpia or Scorpion? I'd just like to have proof before I can really edit the villain's page and everything. Thanks. D3T&FS 16:16, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

Well, I've looked into it and I'm positive it's Scorpion, the male version. Beenox's Dee Brown even said it in an E3 interview. So, I've already changed all the parts where it said "Scorpia" to "Scorpion" and "her" to "him" and all that, but I don't know how to change the title of the article to "Scorpion". Confirmed? By who? Last I saw, many game-related news websites (gameinformer, gamestop, ign, gamespot, etc.) said it was Scorpion. And like I said, even Dee Brown said it was Scorpion. I don't know where you read it's Scorpia, but it's probably wrong. D3T&FS 09:19, June 16, 2012 (UTC)

Cleaning the wikiEdit

Hey, MakeShift. I wanted to talk about the pages "The Lizard" and "The Rhino". I think we should cut the "The"s from the titles of those pages. I mean, the official name for those villains are simply Lizard and Rhino. Plus, the Scorpion page isnt named "The Scorpion" and Spider-Man's isn't "The Spider-Man", etc. Anyway, just a suggestion because it doesnt really look right. When I tried finding Lizard's page, I typed in "Lizard" and couldnt find anything. So it's kind of frustrating, too. You could make searches "The Lizard" or "The Rhino" redirect to pages "Lizard" and "Rhino". Alter egosEdit

Hey. I wanted to know what we're going to do about all the game's villains' alter egos? Like, if we have a page for Peter AND Spider-Man, and we have a page for Connors AND Lizard, shouldn't we have pages for Edward Whelan AND Vermin? Same for Rhino and Scorpion? Thanks for that, New Captain. For the game info, I think we'll probably, yes, create pages for them, but not something so simple as "Level 1". Also, I've decided to have the alter-ego images as the main one ("image") and the normal person as the secondary ("image2"). GameplayEdit

Hey. This is regarding the game and its many side missions, features, etc.

First of all, do you think we should change the suits' page name? Maybe to Skins, or Costumes? Just some suggestions.

Secondly, I was thinking we should make a "Photography" page. Since Spidey will be attaining a camera in the game, we can redirect anything related to taking pictures to the Photography page. And on the page will be how to get the camera, and when in the game you get it. It will tell controls on how to use it and it will list all the photography missions that Spider-Man has to do.

Third, maybe we could make a sole page for "Web Rush", and a page for "Gameplay"... or maybe just a whole "Gameplay" page including a section about Web Rush. Then, pages should be created seperately for all three pre-order bonuses, OR just one page entitled "Pre-Order Bonuses" or "Downloadable Content" that includes all three bonuses.

Fourth, all the side missions in the game. Car chases, petty crimes, robberies, saving infected civillains (also a page for "Infected Civillians"), returning escapees to prison (also a page for "Escapees", and a page for the places they must be returned to, etc.), picture missions (as said above), and the rest of the side and misc missions in the game.

Fifth, pages for certain places in the game. Notably "Peter Parker's Apartment", "Oscorp Building" (I don't know the official name for the building), and other places Spidey visits during the game.

And last, will there be a page made for all the chapters/levels in the main storyline (if there even are chapters)? Or, maybe a seperate page for EACH chapter/level? And what will become of The Amazing Spider-Man (video game) page? Will we add the chapters/levels there, and maybe other details about the game? We could keep the characters section, remove gameplay and pre-order bonuses (because, as said above, gameplay and bonuses should be other whole articles), and add in the sequence of the game, from the intro to the end credits?

P.S., I almost forgot, the collectibles. Most notably, the comic pages you can collect and piece together into full comics. I think we should just make a page with a list of all pages and where to find them (when they're all found, of course).

Why did you put up there wordmark on the front page linking to the other one. I just became admin and my wiki is getting a design at the moment. Ingame ChaptersEdit

Hey. There was no reason to delete the three chapter pages I made for the game. They are in-game chapters for The Amazing Spider-Man and are important to this article and the people who come to this wiki for game info. So could we get those pages back? D3T&FS (talk) 23:32, July 21, 2012 (UTC)

They need their own pages because they're important to the video game. This whole wiki is not only about the movie. We should have articles of in-game things. Like chapters. But okay, we don't have to put walkthroughs. But we could give brief information on what happens through each chapter through the game, because the story in the game is a sequel to the movie. It's not silly. Other wikis have it. The movie isn't seperated into chapters, that's why the plot is on that actual page. Regardless, I still believe we should keep those pages. If other wikis have extremely pointless pages (i.e. the Halo wiki's list of food and drinks page, the Elder Scrolls wiki's broom page, etc.), then our wiki should at least have chapter pages that are SOMEWHAT important.

It's supposed to used to call a class called "web" to templates or any other thing which in turn makes their background the picture in the code. Main PageEdit

Hey Shift, the main page's all done..it's here User:Odranoelluta/MP..of course you gotta see in the main page for proper viewing..just copy paste the whole thing in the main page and preview it..there are of course a couple if things that needs to be changed.

• First, the {{About}} template..tell me if you don't like..I felt somehow rushed when making that one.
  
• Second, the {{FImage}} template, change the pics and caption if there are other pictures you want to add.
  
• In the polls, I just wrote that shit for now..change the poll too here=>{{Polls}}
  
• Now previously, you had somewhat another idea of news..like date of formation of wiki and who got promoted, those written in bullets..now I've changed them to blog posts. If you want to inform the whole community of someone's promotion, you can write a blog to inform others. Even better idea would be that only the blogs with a new category Category:News, which isn't here as of now, can be displayed and such rule be made that only admins and certain users can use the category "News" in their blogposts, so that only important blogs be displayed in the {{News}} template of the main page. News then can be anything, of a user's promotion to a release of another movie/game.
  
• In the {{Help}} template i.e. the helpingout section, of course the polices have to be made there.
  
• In the {{FA}} template for the featured articles, I've put three articles for now: Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Curt Connors. So a new category called Category:Featured Articles has to be made and be put into these three pages first. Also let me know if other articles are to be features articles too.
  
• I've added {{Forums}} too there. You should add the Forum:Index to the navbar too. People might want to use it.

Homepage Poll/Featured ItemsEdit

Hey Shift, I think we should change the poll on the main page. It's been there for a while and many have voted already. If there's a set time to change it already, then that's fine, we can do that, but I don't know when that is.

UPDATE: Poll/Featured Items

Hey again. I just wanted to say that I think we should change our poll and update our featured articles and images. If so, then at the end of August, we'll start up a new poll and we'll finally put out our first featured article and image, which, it looks like they're gonna be the Lizard page and the Web-Shooters image since nothing else has been nominated and nothing else will probably be nominated. So I'll go to the two nomination pages and announce that voting will end on August 31 (if that's okay with you, you can probably just delete it if you don't like/want it) and once it does, we'll upload the article and picture. Hey, Shift. I was wondering why you made a page for Steve Rogers? He's not an official character in the game, he's only mentioned once by a Beloit patient and it doesn't prove that he was ever a patient at Beloit and was let out (unless I've missed something in the video game). Poll suggestionsEdit

Hey MS, I've recently decided that we should do two polls a month. Like, switch out on the 15th of each month, because one poll a month probably gets boring to fans and we want to keep this wiki alive. If that's okay with you, of course. But anyway, the main thing I want to ask you if you have any poll suggestions for upcoming months. If Shailene Woodley's not fully confirmed to play as MJ Watson before next month, maybe we can make a poll asking fans whether or not she'd be a good MJ portrayer. InfoboxesEdit

Hey, I'm having trouble with infoboxes. I don't really understand the concept of them (well, I know what to put in them: gender, status, occupation, etc.), the infoboxes I make all seem to be the wrong colors and such, making it hard to see and unmatching to the wiki. I was wondering how to make mine how you make yours - red and white. I guess I just don't know how to change color, lol. Hey Shift,  I think we should add a "Did You Know?" template to the wiki and the main page. I don't know how well it'd benefit the wiki, but it would add a? bit more content to the main page and that's better entirely. We could add things like "Did You Know? ...that the "Man in the shadows" is actually a representative of Oscorp? ...that another famous Marvel character, Captain America, is mentioned in the video game?" and stuff like that.
