RE: Comics info Edit

I thank you for trying to make this wiki a whole lot better, but the comics are only a base for the film, and as such may be barely alike - the details may be totally different. Also, as you'll see in my edit summary, J. Jonah Jameson will, as of yet, be appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man. Also, trivia is not supposed to be pointless, it's supposed to be fun little bits of information that don't really fit in to the main content. What's the meaning of all these undo's?Edit

Hey, what's up D3T&FS, I was just in the neighborhood, doing the best I could, when I noticed you took down some of my edits to a few pages, how come? -Justin 05:54, September 5, 2012 (UTC)

I don't mean any disrespect or anything, I just felt that a few of your edits were unnecessary. Such as the one on Spider-Man's page, you added a bit more info to the Peter/Flash fight. That's fine if you'd have said something like "This lead to a brief fight between Peter and Flash, but was stopped quickly by Gwen." and then adding the "This was probably their first encounter" on Gwen Stacy's page.

Also, on Flash's page, you wrote a bit of choppy-sounding sentences. Like "He once tried to get Peter to take a picture of another kid he was bullying. Peter refused. Flash and Peter got into a very brief fight before Gwen intervened." Instead, you could have said "Flash had once even asked Peter to take a picture of another classmate he was bullying, but Peter refused and told Flash to let the kid go. Flash became furious and started taking it out on Peter, only for Gwen to intervene and stop the fight." You know, something that sounds a bit better when you read it in your head.

Again, I don't mean to undermine you, and I probably shouldn't have just undone your actions but instead make them better and shorter. For people coming to this Wiki, they don't want to read long, boring biographies with full detail, especially if they've already seen the movie, so we're trying to keep the pages short but sweet. I'm gonna give you some credit, that one of the best responses i've gotten on a wiki before. No vulgarities or insults being hurled, just some standard stuff to keep the brain running. I guess I like to go into detail a little too much sometimes, I just remember when I first saw the movie, I wanted to include every single thing a character did and put it on the wiki as soon as possible. You can work on any page you want, if it needs work. I'd reccomend creating new pages, like ones seen from the Appearances section of the The Amazing Spider-Man (video game) page (the red text are the pages needing to be created), but only if you've played the game and generally know of those characters/locations. Otherwise, there are multiple actors and credited characters that need a place on this wiki, as seen in the Cast section of the The Amazing Spider-Man page. However, if you're not into creating pages yourself, there are many pages that need major editing and are too small, such as many of the crew who worked on the movie, the actors of the movie and the minor characters of the movie. But the main thing I wanted to ask you was this: could you clean up and elaborate on the video game section of it? Well, there's not much to tell. Connors (especially in his Lizard form) is not a HUGE part of the story, he's only helping Spidey to create the serum and then turns into the Lizard at the end of the game for a final boss fight, so I think that section's fine.

Although, you divided Connors' biography into sections, making that the only page with sections. I admit, sections are better because we can easily find which part of their bio we're looking for, but don't you think other characters should have sections also? He's not a character, though. He's simply an easter egg; Spider-Man was mistaken to be Captain America by a mental patient. If Captain America was mistaken as Spidey in his game, would it be necessary to create a page for Peter Parker on his wiki? D3T&FS (talk) 03:44, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

You know, even after I've promoted you to admin, I still can't spell your name! Haha, but the topic of promotion is why I'm here. I'm sure you've probably noticed that I'm rarely here nowadays, and you seem to be upholding the wiki pretty good. That's why I'm offering you the chance to become a bureaucrat. The only things you'll have to remember to do are to update the things on the front page, as well as your usual duties, oh, and although I know I never really did it, you should really create pages like this to keep the fans/users informed. So would you like bureaucratship? Of course, you can say no and just forget about it, but think wisely about it. I should also add, I'd be essentially fine with you making decisions without going by me, assuming they're acceptable. RE: Just checkin' Edit

I've been pretty good! I've mostly been caught up in real life, though I've been doing some editing over at the Arrow Wiki, where I'm a bureaucrat. Just a suggestion for the wiki, seeing as the quiet time is ideal in order to get things done: perhaps create some policies and put them in to effect. Such as, for example, with images. Over at Arrow Wiki, we only allow PNG files as they're the best quality possible (though that's just an example, you make accept JPGs too). Also, just a tip, I'd keep an eye out to see whether the game has any canon with the movies. Cause as the Rhino is appearing in the second film, for one, he may be totally new, making the game ineffective and unrelated, in which case I'll be happy to help restructure articles! Perhaps in that case, there could just be a separate "Non-canon" section or something. Otherwise, I was thinking of returning to the wiki and helping to get the wiki back on track. A lot of unnecessary images have been uploaded, such as duplicates.
