The Venom Symbiote is an amorphous extraterrestrial parasite.
Richard Parker created the symbiotic goo as a possible cure to cancer and any other injury or disease. Oscorp currently still stores it a lab or chamber underneath the company. When Norman Osborn got a hold of it, he used the Symbiote to create bio weapons.
Video Game ContinuityEdit
The symbiote was found by Otto Octavius in one of Oscorp Industries' fallen satellites. It was then bonded to cross-species Scorpion to give it a more powerful effect. After Spider-Man defeated Scorpion, the symbiote removed itself from the creature and its current whereabouts are unknown.
Cletus Kasady, captured and brought to Ravencroft, was experimented on with symbiote and eventually led to the creation of Carnage.
- In other Spider-Man media, this certain symbiote is named "Venom" and is one of Spider-Man's most famous and most dangerous enemies.
- A film starring the symbiote as Venom was being talked about and would have tied into the The Amazing Spider-Man films
- In one of the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailers, a short scene which is the ending of movie shows Gustav Fiers walking, as we see Doc Ock's tentacles, Vulture's wings, and the Symbiote contained a ball-like container. However, in the film, the Symbiote is replaced with the Rhino suit.
