The S-01 was the first in a short line of massive robots created by Alistaire Smythe's team of technicians at Oscorp Industries. It is classified as one of Smythe's many S-Bots and was created to stop all cross-species during the plague. It is the first major boss in the video game The Amazing Spider-Man.

BiographyEdit

The S-01 was designed to contain the virus at a citywide level. It is the first siege unit constructed by Oscorp's robotics lab, and its arsenal is large enough to level Belgium. After the cross-species event broke out, the S-01 was sent to destroy every cross-species it encountered. The first it found was Iguana, Dr. Curt Connors' former lab pet, in a small park in Manhattan. Before the S-Bot could attack the Iguana, town hero Spider-Man rushed in to save the day. Being a cross-species himself, Spider-Man was immediately confronted by the robot, eventually leading to its own demise when the hero tricked the robot to "eat" its own missiles.

CombatEdit

Lasers lock onto specific targets and fire at light speed, force fields contain enemies, and homing missiles eliminate multiple threats simultaneously.

TriviaEdit

• A form of S-Bot, the Hunter, got its appearance inspiration from the S-01, that is why the two look similar.
