Denis Leary is an Irish-American actor who portrays George Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man.

Behind the ScenesEdit

Leary admitted he did not know much about Spider-Man before the previous three Sam Raimi-directed Spider-Man movie trilogy. He even went so far as to say, "I'm more of a Batman guy. Not the '60s, but the really dark Batman. But, my wife was a Spider-Man nut, which is why I went to Tobey Maguire ones."

Another thing Leary liked to note was was that, before he was ever casted a role as Captain George Stacy, his good friend, Jeff Garlin (who also happens to be a Spider-Man fan), said to him, "The first time I met you, I thought you were George Stacy!"
